Traditionally used for weaving narrow strips for men's hats and panels for clothing, the intricate 'Dhaka' weaving of the Terhathum District is renowned both in Nepal and abroad.

 

In recent years the weavers have been experimenting with new colours and their beautiful cloth is now used to make a huge variety of items.
